This has been a very busy year here at ConcreteMedic.  As happens most years, it get’s busiest toward the end of the season.  We’ve been working as fast as we can to try and mudjacking sinking concrete for clients all over the Omaha area.  A geotechnical polyurethane foam is utilized in our mudjacking process to lift up settled and sunken concrete.  Poly foam mudjacking is the ultimate solution for long term success when lifting settled concrete.  Poly foam won’t wash away as some traditional methods do, providing a permanent solution to sinking concrete around the Omaha metro area.

This particular set of steps in Omaha was lifted over three inches (3″) to bring the riser height to its correct position.  As happens sometimes, this set of steps had a significant void beneath the concrete.  The void had to be filled in first, before the concrete steps would rise.  Ultimately, the void filled up and the steps began to rise while we injected the poly foam.

Not only did we lift the steps for this client, but we also lifted up various portions of the driveway.  The concrete slabs abutting the garage floor are a common spot that we lift, as was required on this project as well.  We also lifted the concrete where the driveway abuts the driveway approach.  This is another common area in need of lifting.

When the lifting was completed, we caulked all the expansion and control joints on the driveway.  Once the joints were all caulked, we installed a long lasting surface sealant on the concrete.  The surface sealer will help protect the concrete against salts and chemicals typically used to melt ice in the winter.

If you live around the Omaha, NE area and need your concrete lifted, caulked or sealed, don’t hesitate to give us a call.  We can be reached at 402-619-6116 or via our website.  You can also check out many of our reviews on Google.
