Here’s one last sunken concrete driveway that we were able to mudjack for 2018. We used our geotechnical polyurethane foam lifting methods to put this sunken and cracked concrete back in its correct position.
As we finished up a project for a neighbor, this gentleman came out to speak with us about his concrete problem. He’d been living in this Omaha home for about 15 years. He said it was a “problem” when he bought the home, but had only gotten worse since then. It doesn’t happen this way everyday, but we were happy to be able to help him with his sinking concrete problem on the spot.
The timing was good, as we’ve received 6″ of snow now within a day and a half of completing the project. We also overcame a number of challenges on this project. The concrete slab that abuts the garage is cracked, as you can see, in numerous places. Our challenge was to lift the concrete slab over 3.5″ against the garage floor. Normally that would be no problem, but we did it without lifting it at the cracks further down the driveway. Because of the cracking, lifting at various points along the junction with the garage floor was also challenging. We had to do the same work on the other corner of the driveway, which came up just as well.
Ultimately, we made it happen and the customer was thrilled. It was a good day and a great way to wrap up a terrific 2018 season.
We can’t wait for the 2019 season to begin. If we can help you or someone you know, don’t hesitate to give us a call at 402-619-6116. Or, you can contact us via our website here. We’d love to serve you!
