Front steps and walkway lifted out of the mud in Omaha.

We had another pleased customer today, thanks to our proven concrete lifting methods.  We used our geotechnical poly foam to mudjack (polyjack) the settled concrete back into its correct position. This step and panel had been sinking into the mud beneath for years. Unfortunately, the more it sunk, the worse it became as the concrete began to slope down toward the house and water would pour into the joint.  Obviously, water shouldn’t slope toward the house as that’s a recipe for a wet basement.  Not only that, but the water caused the concrete to settle as well. The water running toward the house caused dirt base to wash out beneath the concrete.  This allowed the concrete to sink over 3″ in some spots over the years. We brought the step and the step base up to their original position.

The homeowner was thrilled to save over $1500 over the cost of new concrete, not to mention what foundation problems would’ve cost. The biggest benefit in our mind is that now they’ll no longer have a tall top step to navigate and basement water problems caused by that area will no longer be a concern.
