Cracked Concrete Driveway Lifted in Omaha

It may not look like a big problem at first glance, but this cracked concrete driveway was a significant enough trip hazard to threaten a home sale.  Luckily, we were able to take care of the problem so the home sale could take place. As you can see, the concrete had cracked and was beginning to sink, over an inch in some spots. Interestingly, this concrete had been mudjacked (and had since failed miserably) in the past, using a traditional mud slurry mix. This was a great example of why we are proud to utilize a geotechnical polyurethane foam for mudjacking, which provides a long term solution, rather than the short term band-aid offered by most mud slurry products we see around this area.

Cracked and sinking concrete driveways are a common problem around Omaha

The problem we repaired on this project isn’t unusual, we actually deal with cracked concrete driveway problems multiple times every week.  Sometimes, the concrete is simply cracked and the homeowner would like us to caulk it.  In cases like this, the concrete has cracked and begun to sink, which causes trip hazards.  One of the main problems that home inspectors find with concrete when it comes time to sell a home are trip hazards.

Every once in a while we’ll find a driveway where the cracking is too extensive to fix, but that’s the exception to the rule.  Generally we can take care of the problem.  Not only do we fix the problem, but the cost is significantly less.  We’re oftentimes saving our clients from spending two to three times as much money on replacement.  Lifting concrete, instead of replacing, can save the average homeowner thousands of dollars.

If your concrete is cracked and sinking, don’t hesitate to contact us, we’d love to help. We can be reached at 402-619-6116 or our Facebook page.
